In a Nut Shell
Gina began her career in the ad industry as a photo stylist, but her background and undergraduate degrees are in the fine arts. She fell into working at her first photo studio for Dayton’s from a series of informational interviews.  That job led to contract fashion events for Dayton’s which later led to a contract at Target where she acted as liaison between internal buyers and external photo crews, introducing her to the corporate side of advertising.

Though she had been styling for 5 years, a strong interest in production led to small production jobs.  With that experience she reached out to a contact and asked if she could advise on how to get more production work.  It could not have been better timing because that contact hired her for the agency role of art producer and project manager in the Wal-Mart photo studio for an extended project.  That experience led to her being engaged for a contract as an art buyer at Target where she worked on multiple businesses.

She became the hybrid of art buyer and producer, or what is called an art producer.  For the past 6 years she has been freelancing as an art producer for multiple agencies and corporations, as well as being hired directly by photographers to produce.   She loves what she does and having the opportunity to work with so many talented and creative people.
